Timothy Hodgson is the Chairman of the Board of Sagicor Financial Corporation. He was previously a Managing Partner with Alignvest Management Corporation, having served at the firm from 2012 to August 2019.

Mr. Hodgson was the special advisor to Mr. Mark Carney, Governor of the Bank of Canada, from 2010 to 2012. From 1990 to 2010, he held various positions with Goldman Sachs in New York, London, Silicon Valley and Toronto, serving as Chief Executive Office of Goldman Sachs Canada from 2005 to 2010, with overall responsibility for operations, client relationships and regulatory matters in the region.

He currently chairs the Investment Committee on the board of the Public Sector Pension Investment Board (PSP Investments) and is Chair of the board of directors of Hydro One Limited. Mr. Hodgson’s prior directorships include MEG Energy, the Global Risk Institute, KGS-Alpha Capital Markets, Next Canada, the Richard Ivey School of Business and Bridgepoint Health.

He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University, and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Manitoba. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants and has earned the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
