BRIDGETOWN, Barbados Doing business in the 21st century should be easy, simple and convenient, which is why Sagicor General Insurance (SGI) Inc has made new services available to its policyholders via the company’s Client Portal.

Motor insurance clients in Antigua, Barbados, St. Lucia and Trinidad & Tobago no longer need to visit SGI offices in those territories to file motor insurance claims, with the online application providing a platform for them to initiate the process.

The portal can be accessed by visiting client.sagicor.com, where once logged in, policyholders will be able to submit a claim online in real time, inclusive of uploading accompanying images showing damage from the incident. They can complete the process with an electronic signature, after which, they will receive confirmation of the submission, along with the claim number and officer assigned to handle their claim.

Tracey Knight-Lloyd, SGI’s Vice President – Customer Experience said that “after the inconvenience of an accident damaging your vehicle, the last thing anyone needs is more stress. This system seeks to make this process easier for our valued clients and we look forward to adding functionalities as time progresses.”

The portal can also be accessed via the “Sagicor Go” mobile app using the same login credentials created at registration.

Users can take advantage of the live chat to get answers to frequently asked questions; view all details related to their active policies, including anniversary statements, along with updating personal information such as address and contact details.
