Affecting over 50 million adults and 300,000 children, arthritis is the nation's leading cause of disability. The Arthritis Foundation is dedicated to the prevention, cocntrol, and cure of arthritis in the United States. Sagicor has worked for many years raising funds and volunteering their time for the local Tampa chapter.

In 2019, Sagicor Life Insurance Company’s Florida and Arizona staff participated in its 11th Walk to Cure Arthritis events in Tampa, Phoenix and Oklahoma City. In addition to walking a three (3)-mile course, we also raised over $11,000 to help the organization.

The Walk to Cure Arthritis takes place in cities across the United States each year, and the funds raised go to the research aimed at finding a cure for arthritis, America’s leading cause of disability. This was our best fundraising effort for the foundation to date, and Sagicor was recognized by the Arthritis Foundation as a top corporate fundraising team for 2019.

In addition to the Walk, our Florida staff raised funds and participated in the Jingle Bell Run in December. Our team raised $2,685 and came together to run, jog and walk to help awareness for our partners.
